SmartBug Media has HubSpot expertise, but expertise alone is not enough. When acquiring another company, there is an obligation to respect and support the clients that come with that acquisition. Integrity, accountability, and basic communication matter just as much as technical knowledge.
Based on our experience, once issues arose, there was no ownership or follow through. If you are considering SmartBug Media, especially following an acquisition or during a critical transition, be aware that client treatment and accountability may not match the level of expertise being sold. Initially, the team helped support and optimize our HubSpot instance through professional services, including configuration, ongoing improvements, and strategic guidance. When the engagement was active and well managed, this support helped us maintain and operate HubSpot effectively.
It is worth noting that we originally worked with Globalia. After Globalia was acquired by SmartBug Media, the quality of the engagement and overall experience declined significantly, particularly around project management, accountability, and customer support.
